DAY CARE MINISTRY

Our Day Care operates as a ministry of the Brownstown Christian Church. As so, it is dedicated to serving the spiritual needs of its children, staff and parents. The congregation works hard to keep the costs affordable since child care directly affects the life of the family. We hope to provide a safe and caring atmosphere where your child will know the love of Christ.

PRESCHOOL MINISTRY

Our preschool has been recognized for the preparation it provides each child for their education experience. Shaped by a Christian ethic, instruction goes beyond words and numbers and speaks to character. We believe we are building young men and women who will become the citizens of tomorrow. We invite and expect parents to encourage and engage the young student with review of what they learn daily and guidance to their questions.

Day Care Requirements

This ministry is an outreach to all children from 2 months to 12 years of age. Parents wishing to register their child should pick up the Day Care Manual from the Day Care Office. The parent must complete the child enrollment card and provide medical records for proof of all required vaccinations. An additional state registration form and field trip permission slip must be signed by the parent to comply to state regulations. A meal application and medication form is also provided to the parent.

We are a 100% prepay facility. Child care must be paid prior to a child's admittance. Scholarships and exemptions are the responsibility of our Day Care Director, Lisa Henry. Please email this page's hyperlink to contact here via email or call her directly.

Mission and Principles

The principles of 'Quality Child Care' and 'Respect for One Another' are visible through our daily activities. Our ministry believes in the uniqueness of each child and is dedicated to enabling each child to develop here/his fullest potential at being responsible, caring, creative, spontaneous, happy and independent.

Preschool

Each class offered can accommodate up to 20 children. Enrollment is based on a first come basis with the youngest child being of age by August 1. Waiting lists are maintained and parents are notified if there is an opening.

Preschool registration begins in April for the fall classes. Children attending preschool must have all necessary paperwork completed, a copy of their shot records and documentation of any special medical issues before they can be admitted to the preschool.

A child can miss no more than 9 days during the school year to qualify for graduation. Preschool graduation is conducted in the church sanctuary on the third Thursday of May.
