outside ourselves and serve one another. No other virtue
better describes our Lord. We believe that everyone who
desires to be used by God should have that opportunity.
A Place for You
People believe that the only ones who can serve
God are the leaders of the church. It is a false assumption.
God designed us to be used by Him at any place or stage of our
lives.
Wherever you are in your spiritual walk, you can serve. This page will explain the opportunities available for you to be used by God.

Task We offer opportunities to serve that are simple tasks. You do not need to be a church member or even a professing Christian yet. These service tasks one time acts of service that can include everything from cleaning to carpentry. Based on your abilities and desire, we have a number of tasks available. Click on the task hyperlink above and we will help you assess what task you can best serve. Project A little more involved than tasks, these are short-term activities that may require one or more acts of service. This might include working in a mission fair or putting together a church celebration but is easily within the range of what most people can do. With the increased responsibilities comes increased accountability. Click on the project hyperlink and we will set up an interview to help you serve. Program This is the most demanding of our service opportunities and requires the greatest accountability. Serving on our ministry teams is once such commitment. While active church membership is required for leadership positions, any attendee of Brownstown Christian can find a place to serve in a long term manner. Program service often provides the greatest return of fulfillment because it focuses your service in one area of ministry and you can see the results over time. With Our Children We do want to remind you that service with children will make you subject to a background check so we can ensure the safety of our children. |
